The S.E. Shires Model 6F/6FD E♭/D trumpet offers all the security and agility that you would expect from a small horn, but with a sound is powerful enough to lead a large orchestral brass section. The standard weight 6F bell provides a bold, centered core that holds together at even the fullest dynamics—characteristics tempered by the easy response and warmth of the Y6H leadpipe.

  • 6F Bells: 4 13⁄16 inch, interchangeable, one-piece, hand-hammered, tunable "6" (centered) tapers in standard-weight yellow brass with traditionally brazed seams and French beads

  • Y6H Leadpipe: .346-inch venturi, heavyweight yellow brass; efficient and clear, with great center and warmth

  • Piston Material: hand-lapped Monel

  • Valve Cluster: two-piece casings, standard weight, with yellow-brass balusters

  • Lower Valve Caps: yellow brass

  • Bell Engraving: S.E. Shires makers mark, model designation, and traditional floral pattern

  • Includes S.E. Shires double trumpet case, mouthpiece, and care kit
